My name is Gamander López and I am a 21 year old wildlife filmmaker and photographer.
I finished school in 2021 and I now started studying biology. I like to spend most of my free time in nature to search for special encounters with wild animals in their habitats. My mother always went outside with us and that way I became fascinated by nature and animals from very early on. I got my first camera when I was 10 years old and I immediately started taking pictures of wildlife. Then I also got into filming and created little documentaries about all the animals I met. From that moment on, I have never stopped learning everything possible about animal species, their behaviours and how I could improve my work. Meanwhile, my films have been screened at a number of national and international film festivals and I have been so lucky as to be awarded with several prizes for my work. In the beginning of 2020 I started posting short behind the scenes videos of my work first on Tiktok and then also on Instagram. Meanwhile I have 9 Million followers on TikTok and over 700.000 on Instagram. I have worked with brands like Adobe, Sony, Canva and Jack Wolfskin. On social media I try to show the beauty of nature and inspire people to also go outside and explore what should be protected for the future.My dream is to become a professional wildlife filmmaker some day.Gamander López, 17.02.2023
